Manali Skiing

Skiing is one of the most exciting activities in Manali. This involves sliding down the snow slopes on a pair of skis or snowboards attached to the feet. The high rising wooded hilly areas of Manali turn into extensive snow fields in winter. The white clocked winter landscape coupled with proper infrastructural facilities offer great scope for Manali skiing. The Directorate of Mountaineering and Allied Sports also conduct skiing courses for the inexperienced enthusiasts and amateurs.

Facilities for skiing in Manali are available, especially in the Solang valley and a patch in Rohtang pass. Solang valley, situated at about 17 km from Manali, offers just the perfect skiing slope which is safe and secure for the skiers and conventional tourists.
