3. The Lunchbox
The Lunchbox is an epistolary of a woman named Ila played by Nimrat Kaur and a man named Saajan Fernandes played by Irrfan Khan. Ila is a young and educated housewife, who craves for her husband’s attention. And in order to put the romance back into her marriage, she cooks delicious food which gets mixed up and the Dabba reaches Saajan instead of her husband. This slip up of the Dabba ignites hope to rekindle her desires which seemed to have been lost inside the marriage. Lunchbox is a delicately fabricated story of a woman, man and the mystique affair which is bounded and accepted inside the institution of marriage only.
