5 Hot Winter Snack Recipes Everybody Can Make

V. Chocolate Samosa: No, potato samosas haven’t lost their charm. But, we do take things one notch higher once in a while and this is exactly what we’re doing with swapping the good old mix with everyone’s favourite – chocolate. Evening snack or after-dinner dessert – gorge on it the way you want. The charm will never get old!

 

Ingredients:

For dough:

  • 350 g desi ghee
  • 1 kg refined flour
  • 10 g black cardamom seeds

For filling:

  • 250 g almonds, roasted
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 500 g chocolate block
  • 100 g pistachio, roasted
  • 250 g cashew nuts, roasted
  • Frying oil
  • 2.5 g garam masala powder

 

Steps:

1. Prepare a mix of desi ghee, refined flour, and crushed black cardamom seeds. Add water and flour to the mix slowly, kneading lightly. Set it aside until you prepare the filling.

2. To make the filling, heat the chocolate until it melts and then add roasted crushed dry fruits in it.

3. Now, take the dough and make small balls out of it, about 30 g each. Now, flatten each ball into a thin sheet with the help of roller pin.

4. Cut the sheet in the middle and fold each one in the shape of a cone.

5. Fill the cone form with chocolate. Rub with little water at the edges.

6. Bring together the edges and form pleat on one side.

7. Seal it well.

8. Repeat the procedure and make more samosas.

9. Heat oil in a pan and put samosas in it.

10. Fry them until they become crusty andĀ golden colour appears.

11. Take them out and drain the extra oil on a kitchen towel.

12. Serve hot.
