Pineapple is a universal fruit used in pretty much all countries and loved by a large population. It has been added to dishes to make starters, main courses and desserts for a long time. China being the fifth largest producer of pineapple also uses it in some of its dishes, while the Indian Chinese version of the dishes are famous in our country. All you need is (serves 2)
Rice – 1 cup
Oil – 2 tbsp
Ginger – 1 tsp (finely chopped)
Garlic – 1 tsp (finely chopped)
Onion – 1/4 cup (chopped)
Pineapple – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
Vinegar – 1/2 tsp
Soy sauce – 1/2 tsp
Spring onion for garnishing
Chinese Pineapple Fried Rice Recipe
Preparation time: 10 min.
Cooking time: 30 min.
Boil the rice with 2 cup water until fully cooked.
Heat in a wok, add onion, ginger and garlic and fry till slightly brown.
Add pineapple and rice and toss a few times.
Add salt, black pepper powder, vinegar, soy sauce and mix well.
Garnish with spring onions.
