Ingredients

For Making Candied Pecans

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tbsp. water

1/4 tsp. kosher salt

1 cup Pecans

For Making Salad

2 apples, thinly sliced

6 cup mixed greens

1/2 cup dried cranberries

1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese

For Preparing Dressing

1/2 shallot, finely chopped

2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar

1/2 tbsp. Dijon mustard

1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil

Instructions

1. Take a frying pan and combine cinnamon, water, salt, and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir occasionally until sugar dissolves. Now add pecans. Toss until they get satisfactorily coated. Simmer it until they get sticky. Then, remove them from heat and cool them on the baking sheet (parchment-lined) in a single layer.

2. Now, take a large bowl and add dried cranberries, blue cheese, candied pecans, apples, and greens. Then refrigerate the mixture until it is ready to dress.

3. Take a glass jar or bowl, and stir together dijon, shallot, olive oil, apple cider vinegar. Season with pepper and salt.

4. Drizzle dressing on the salad. Toss well to combine.

5. Serve immediately.
