Know about the Japanese Chicken Ramen Recipe

Ramen is a famous Japanese noodle dish, which is very soupy in taste. It is made from wheat noodles and served in a meat broth. Ramen is flavoured with soy sauce and uses toppings such as sliced chicken, meats and eggs.

Ramen contains Iron, B Vitamins and manganese; however, it lacks protein and fibres. So it is not beneficial for health, but if you want to add some veggies, it can be delicious and healthy. 

Here is a fantastic recipe for Japanese chicken ramen:


  • Two chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper, to season
  • 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 Tbsp fresh garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp mirin (Japanese liquid food stock)
  • 4 cups rich chicken stock
  • Mushrooms (1/2 cup fresh)
  • Salt to taste
  • Two large eggs
  • 1/2 cup scallions, sliced
  • 2 or 3 packs dried ramen noodles
  • Jalapeño and chilli slices, for serving


  • Preheat the oven to 375℉. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper nicely. 

•Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until the skin gets golden brown. Cook for 7-8 minutes. When one side gets cooked, flip over the chicken to another side and cook for 4-5 minutes, until golden.

  • Place the chicken and the safe oven pan in the oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, until the chicken gets cooked well. 
  • Remove from the oven and transfer the chicken breast to a plate and cover it with foil paper.
  • Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat until it starts getting shimmered. 
  • Add the garlic and ginger cloves, and cook for a few minutes until the cloves get softened. 
  • Add on the soy sauce and mirin and stir well to combine them both—Cook well for 1 minute.
  • Add the stock. Cover it and bring it to a boil. 
  • Remove the lid, and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the diced dried mushrooms and simmer gently for another 10 minutes, and season with salt, to taste.
  • Boil some eggs in a saucepan and when the eggs get boiled, let them cool down. 
  • Chop some jalapeno and slice the chicken into pieces. Place aside. Add the ramen noodles to the boiling water and let them boil for 4-5 minutes.
  • After the noodles turn soft, place the noodles into two large bowls. 
  • Add the cooked sliced chicken and the ramen. 
  • Top with some fresh jalapeño and the soft boiled egg. 
  • Serve hot immediately.
