The celebration of Navratri is incomplete without a sweet dish. For the people keeping fasts for Navratri, relishing a sweet dish, whether a kheer or a halwa, is a must. Singhara is not just about pooris or tikkis on a fasting day, it can also be used to prepare delectable sheera loaded with dry fruits.

Recipe

Heat 3 cups of water in a pan and add 1 cup of sugar into it. Let the sugar melt in the water on a low flame. Meanwhile, add one cup ghee in a non-stick pan and add one cup singhare ka atta into it. Let the mixture roast on a medium flame until it turns brown in color. Make sure you keep on stirring the mixture while it is roasting. When the mixture starts resembling like coarse crumbles, add cardamom powder. Now slowly add the sugar concoction into the pan. Keep on stirring the sheera until it thickens. Turn the gas off and garnish it with roasted nuts. Enjoy!
