Raw vegetables are very rich in antioxidants. Some common vegetables should be grown in almost every house garden, which takes less time and less maintenance. The advantage of growing fresh vegetables in the garden is that we gain a lot of fresh and nutritious vegetables. The seeds can be grown in old trays, buckets, tubs, old bins, tyres, empty drums, and useless containers.

These can be grown throughout the year for salads and chutneys. It can easily be grown by sowing tomato seeds. The plants can be planted in pots and beds. After the plant has grown, cover the roots with soil. When flowering in a tomato plant, water it at an interval of 10-12 days because, at this stage, flowers fall due to excessive watering. Tomato plants start bearing fruit 40 to 50 days after planting in the ground.
It can be planted in the month of April-May through root, cuttings and stem cuttings. The mint plants are small and spreading and can be quickly grown in pots. The leaves of this plant can be used after 25-30 days of planting mint. If weeds are growing around the mint, remove them. Give enough water to the mint plants so that the moisture in the soil remains well. Mint is beneficial in the summer season as it provides coolness to the body.
Lettuce can be planted from February to April and September to November. Sow lettuce seeds in small pots, poly bags or trays first. After 3 to 4 weeks, when the seedlings get ready, transplant them into the bed or pot. The lettuce plant requires less sunlight and lower temperatures. The requirement for water is also less in lettuce. When the pot’s soil starts feeling dry, spray some water in it. The lettuce plant becomes usable after about 45-55 days of planting.

Green coriander can be grown by sowing coriander seeds throughout the year. Put the seeds in pots, containers or beds. It takes 40-45 days for coriander to be ready for consumption after sowing the seeds. In summer, water enough the coriander plants to maintain moisture and do not allow waterlogging because the roots rot due to excessive watering. The small leaves and stems can be cut, and fresh leaves can be used.
The capsicum plant generally grows in 10-12 days. After the plants grow, keep in mind that if the pot is small, leave only one or two plants. Transfer the rest of the plants to separate pots, old buckets, tubs, empty drums or beds. The capsicum plants start producing fruits in 60-65 days. Do not give excess water as it harms the plants.
