As soon as the lockdown was announced, social media started pouring with all kinds of baking recipes. People are finding solace in baking bread, cakes, home-made mithais, fancy delicacies and what not.
But the polarising love for food has divided the house. Where in one hand some of them are emerging as true bakers with their freshly baked loaves, some are putting consciousness and being mindful of their food intakes before anything else.
And in this indefinite times of COVID-19 where people are vulnerable to infections, it is indeed important to be mindful of what we are putting in our system to build our immunity.
Famous nutritionist and celebrity dietician Rujuta Diwekar says:
“Don’t fret and fume at a chemist shop to buy immunity boosting supplements. That’s just the market milking your fears”.
She further adds:
“Immunity is not a genie that comes out of a bottle, it’s a natural response of the human body. All it needs is a commonsensical approach to life and that cannot be bought, that must be earned with daily efforts, one day at a time.”
