The Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM), a treasure trove of knowledge, popularizes science through live demonstrations to give you a fun-filled educational experience. It is one place where science merges with frolic, becoming a pleasure for children and adults alike.
Located in the heart of Bengaluru, the museum was constructed in the honour of Sir M. Visvesvaraya, one of the architects of modern Karnataka.
Spread over an area of 40,000 sq. ft., the five-floored museum is dedicated to several scientific disciplines and has five galleries on display, namely, the Electronic Technology Gallery, the Engine Hall, the Kimbe Paper Metals Gallery, the Children’s Science Gallery, and the Popular Science Gallery.
This wonderland develops in children an appreciation for science by making them participate in and curious about intriguing experiments. Some examples are: a tap from which water flows endlessly, with no source connected; a magic mirror; whispering dishes; a special carrom board; the Head on the Platter etc.
