What is Jin Shin Jyutsu?
Jin Shin Jyutsu originated in Japan. However, over the past few years this treatment has gained prominence in India. It is basically an ancient art of balancing the life energy within the body. It is a beautiful art where we use a proper co-ordination of the hands, to get the required results. This ancient healing practice was rediscovered and popularised by a Japanese healer and philosopher, Master Jiro Murai, in the early 20th century. At the age of 26, he was diagnosed by an incurable and terminal disease. He cured himself of the disease by using ‘hand mudras’ and devoted the rest of his life to extensive research on this ancient practice.

By this practice, the person’s mental, physical and spiritual balance is restored.

You need not visit a professional healer to get a hand massage through Jin Shin Jyutsu. In fact, you can practice this on your own at your house. There are many books available on this art. How Long Do You Need to Hold a Finger?
First hold lightly a finger of your left hand then perform the exercise on the same finger of your right hand. Hold the finger until you feel a pulse arrive into it. However, if your finger is pulsing strongly then you should hold the finger until the pulse calms down. However, if you have sufficient time, then you can do the same for all the ten fingers. Hold each finger for two or more breaths. This is a great way to relax and can be done at any time of the day.
