Aks (2001)

This is another underrated jewel in Manoj Vajpayee’s long career. The movie is about a murderer that is killed, yet the murders continue in his signature style. How are the murders still happening? Was the wrong man killed? To answer anything more would be violating the plot of the movie—Starring Amitabh Bachchan in the role of a cop and Manoj Bajpayee as the murderer. The film was unable to do well at the box office. However, it is today known as one of the best thrillers in Indian cinema.

Missing (2017)

Missing is another psychological thriller with a layered plot that reveals itself slowly and steadily. It follows the story of a couple played by Tabu and Manoj Bajpayee who check into a hotel only to wake up the next day with their daughter ‘titli’ missing from the room. Beginning an intense police search for the young girl leads to revealing many secrets kept hidden by the parents.
