The Indian Hindi-comedy film ‘Thank God’ will be released in the Hindi Film industry. This film is a remake of the Norwegian film “Sorte Kugler”.
Cast and plot
Ajay Devgan plays the role of Lord Chitragupt. Actor Siddharth Malhotra is the protagonist, Ayaan Kapoor. The South’s famous actress Rakul Preet Singh is the female protagonist as Ruhi Kapoor, the wife of Ayan Kapoor. The renowned comedian Kiku Sharda plays the role of Ayan’s colleague.
Seema Pahwa is Ayan’s mother, while Nora Fatehi is in the movie. She is in the song ‘Manike Mage Hithe’, a remake song. Indra Kumar directed the movie, whereas Akash Kaushik and Madhu Sharma wrote it. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Deepak Mukut, Anand Pandit, Markand Adhikari, and Sunil Kheterpal.
Composers of music
For the songs, it is the magic of Tanishq Bagchi, Rochak Kohli, Anand Raj Anand, and Chamat Sangeeth. The lyrics of the songs were written by Sameer, Rashmi Virag, Manoj Muntashir, ARX, and Melody.
About the movie
The movie starts with Siddharth Malhotra and Ayan Kapoor, who drives a car and talks to his wife. His wife informs her about their child’s parent-teacher meeting. He scolds her that he is busy and can not attend the meeting. During the call, he meets an accident.
The accident becomes the turning point of the film. After the accident, Ayan Kapoor reaches a place where he meets Lord Chitragupta as Ajay Devgan. He introduces himself and his job. He says that his job is to keep a record of humanity’s sins and virtues.
Not only this, but he also introduces “Yumdoot” as the Angel of Death. Ayan Kapoor asks Lord Chitragupta whether he is alive or dead. Chitragupt confuses Ayan by saying that he is neither dead nor alive, but somewhere in the middle, and invites him to play a game of life with him.
These dialogues create a dilemma in the film, whether the protagonist, Ayaan Kapoor, is before the stage of taking birth or after the stage of death. The film moves forward with the introduction of Ayan Kapoor with subtitles.
On a funnier note, Lord Chitragupta tries to crack a joke about abusive language. He asks Ayaan Kapoor, “Why does Shobha only abuse boys”? He replies further, “because abusive language does not suit girls”.
Lord Chitragupta, Yamdoot, and all the people around laughed, but the reaction of Ayaan shows that he did not even understand the joke. On the other hand, the female protagonist is Rakul Preet Singh. She has played the role of Ayan Kapoor’s wife, Ruhi Kapoor. The plot depicts the love between Ayan Kapoor and Ruhi Kapoor.
Chitragupta later plays a game with Ayan. He makes the biggest mistake of all. The mistake is that “they believe in God, but never listen to him. The movie is full of action and fire when depicting hell.
Date of Release
The movie will be released on October 25, 2022, coinciding with Diwali.
