Famous Cartoons that would make every 90s Kid nostalgic

Childhood is the most precious phase in the life of every person. We make truckloads of sweet memories which we cannot forget till we die. So it was enjoyable and relaxing to come home after playing in the evening and watch cartoons.

The cartoons of today’s generation are not as fun as the old ones. All the children of this generation have become so obsessed with the latest gadgets that they have forgotten outdoor games. Although everything was very great till 2010, it was a lot of fun to watch cartoons.

Sadly, who knew that old cartoons would stop appearing on TV. So, if you miss your childhood, let’s recall some of the best cartoons we all miss watching:

1. Oswald

First episode: 20 august, 2001

Channel: Cartoon Network and Pogo

Oswald was one of the most popular cartoons. So many kids loved it. Oswald was a kind and loving octopus in this cartoon who lived in a massive building with his dog, Weenie. He had so many lovely neighbours. All the characters were so colourful. Henry the Penguin, Madame Butterfly, who used to run a Big restaurant with her daughter, Catrina Caterpillar. Oswald loved playing the piano and singing. He was a perfect example for ‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’. Oswald was a fantastic cartoon that taught us the meaning of kindness. It had a total of 26 episodes.

2. Dragon tales

First episode: 6 September 1999

Channel: Cartoon Network

Total episodes: 94

Dragon tales was an incredible animated show. In this show, Siblings Emmy and Max discovered a magical place called Dragon Land where they met dragons Ord, Cassie, Zak, Wheezie and the wise and sagelike Quetzal. The kids and dragons used to face so many tough challenges together. Each episode was worth watching. 

3. Johny Bravo

First episode: 24 August 2004

Channel: Cartoon Network 

Total episodes: 65

Johnny Bravo was an American animated show. In this cartoon, Johny had no shortage of confidence, and he was sure that all women were crazy for him. With his big hair and tight black clothes, he was known for his karate chops. It was undoubtedly a fun watch show.

4. Courage, the cowardly dog

First episode: 18 November 1996

Channel: Cartoon Network 

Total episodes: 52

In this cartoon, Courage was a pink dog with paranoia problems. His owners were an old couple living on a weird farm. In each episode, the whole family was thrown into a strange paranormal galaxy where they faced misadventures. Courage overcame his fear in every episode and saved his owners, Eustace and Muriel, from ghosts and spirits living on the farm. Muriel loved Courage, but Eustace used to hate and tease him. It was a hilarious and horror cartoon.

5: Kochikame

It was a Japanese cartoon. It was a funny cartoon which showed us the life of a policeman, Ryotsu. He wanted to get rich. There was a neighbourhood police station in the downtown part of Tokyo, and the story revolved around the misadventures of the cop ryotsu. 

6. Detective Conan

It was the best Japanese cartoon. In this cartoon, a high school detective Shinichi Kudo was transformed into a child while investigating some mysterious cases. He also solved so many cases by playing the role of his childhood best friend’s father and other characters.

7. Thomas and his friends

It was a British cartoon that used to come on the pogo channel. It was based on the Railway Series. The cartoon followed the adventures of Thomas, a tank engine, with the fellow engines Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Percy, and several others. Thomas was the one who always got into trouble by doing jobs and helping other sensible engines, but he never gave up on being the best hardworking engine. 

All of these cartoons were the best. These cartoons made our childhood memories sweeter which can be cherished for our whole life. Unfortunately, today’s generation can’t feel the old and golden days.
