5. Railway Museum
Railways is one of the prominent modes of transport in India. The foundation of India’s rail network was laid by the British. Today it spans 115,000 kilometres. To celebrate that, Indian Railways has opened a railway museum which is a must visit when in Delhi. This museum showcases more than 100 rail models, signalling equipment, antique train furniture, historic photographs and a working toy train among others.
Timings: 10 am – 4:30 pm (Closed on Mondays)
Entry: Rs 50 adults, Rs 10 Children (on weekdays)
Location: Shanti Path, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi
Nearest Metro Station: Race Course (Yellow Line)
