Panaji situated on the left banks of the river Mandovi lays bare to the visitors a wide array of tourist spots which are as follows:
- Shanta Durga temple is one of the most glorious temples located at Panaji city. The complex of Shanta Durga temple covers a total land area of 33 km. The temple Shanta Durga has been constructed in the form of a pagoda and the rooftop of this temple is made out of stone blocks. The temple is located amidst very quiet and peaceful surroundings replete in greenery.
- The church Basilica of Bom Jesus is one of the richest churches in the state of Goa. This church has been built in a splendid manner. The most noteworthy aspect of this monumental structure is the Bom Jesus Basilica Art Gallery. The art gallery abounds in a wide variety of paintings, which are starkly beautiful. The most vivid of all the paintings is that of St. Francis Xaviers'.
- Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary is another prime tourist spot, which abounds in plenty of flora and fauna. It has been located amidst dense forests and has to its credit unique collection of plants. A wide array of wild species can also be found roaming around within the precincts of this wildlife sanctuary.
- St. Cajetan's Church located very close to Se Cathedral is famous for its outstanding architecture and interior decor.
