The Dam is located around 50 km from the city of Kozhikode. It is well connected by buses from the city of Kozhikode. The beautiful scenic view of the dam provides an ideal picnic spot. The reservoir offers speed boat & row boat rides and an amazing view of the 'Smaraka Thottam' - a garden built in the memory of freedom fighters. There is also a crocodile farm & a bird sanctuary which can be visited here.

Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary

This place is very close to nature and is situated around 20 km from the city of Kozhikode. Several numbers of birds dwell in this sanctuary; some of them are migratory while others are permanent inhabitants of this place. The sanctuary is like a heaven for bird watchers. In the month of April one could find maximum number of birds here. Buses are frequently available to visit here from the Kozhikode.
