There are innumerable attractions in and around Khandala. Tugauli Lake, Karla and Bhaja Caves, Kune Falls, Duke's Nose peak and Tiger's Leap are some of the popular tourist sites in Khandala that attracts tourists from the different parts of the world.
Khandala is one of the beautiful sites in Maharashtra. The hill station, situated about 625 meters above the sea level, presents a panoramic view of the Sahayadri ranges. Located about 101 kilometers from Mumbai and 69 kilometers from Pune, it is one of the most popular sites for tourism in Maharashtra. Some of the important tourists attractions in and around Khandala that deserve special mention in this context are:
- Ryewood - Ryewood, situated near Lonavala, is a beautiful garden that is strewn with majestic trees. One can come across an old Mahadeo temple at the park. The park is christened Ryewood after an English officer, Mr Rye, who inhabited the place for some time. The garden is undertaken by the State Government's Forest Department.
- Duke's Nose - Duke's Nose, also known as 'Nagfani' is named after Duke Wellington, who had a pointed nose resembling the cliff. The cliff offers a majestic view of the adjoining ranges. Tourists willing to reach the site can approach the cliff from Kurwande village and INS Shivaji.
