Pench National Park

Nearly 65kms away from Nagpur, it is an interesting wild life destination. For the wild life enthusiasts, this is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Nagpur.


In his later years, Mahatma Gandhi made his home here. The Bapu Kutir, Adi Nivas and many other houses in the ashram bear the hallowed memory of Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi.


According to legend, Lord Rama passed this way during his period of exile. There are temples dedicated to Lord Rama and Lakshmana. At the foot of the hill is a charming inland lake Ramsagar. The famous Sanskrit poet Kalidas wrote his epic 'Meghdoota' here.
