These kinds of schools provide accommodation facility to a student while his or her course of study in those schools. Any student taking admission in those schools needs to stay there for studies. Indian schools can even be categorized as the following:

Boys' schools: These types of schools are dedicated to boys. No girl students are allowed to enroll themselves in those schools.
Girls' schools: As opposed to boys' schools, these schools do not allow the admission of any boy student there.
Co-educational schools: These kinds of schools allow both boy and girl students to study together.
