Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST)

Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology was established in 1976 in Thiruvananthpuram, Kerala, It was given the status of an Institution of National Importance and a university by the Government of India through an Act of Parliament (Act 52 of 1980) in 1980.

Kasturba Medical College

A private medical college in Manipal, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), was set up in 1953 and was India's first private medical college. The Medical Council of India recognized it in 1958, and the Government of India recognized it in 2008. Under the direction of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). In the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF), KMC positioned tenth among Indian Medical Colleges in 2022.
