Admission Procedure

Aspirants seeking admission in top-level IITs and NITs are required to give an All India Common Entrance Examination namely JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). JEE is conducted in two parts - JEE main and JEE-Advanced. Only the top 15,000 who clear JEE-Main will be able to attempt JEE-Advanced. The application process of filling out the form and sending it to the Institute is entirely online. State-level engineering entrance examinations, CET (Common Entrance Test), are also conducted every year to grant admission to professional engineering colleges within the state.

Eligibility Criteria

The students must have cleared the High School Examination or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and should have Mathematics and Physics as their subjects in Class XII. Any of the subjects from Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, and Biology should have been their optional subject. The minimum age to apply for B.Tech is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 23 years on the date of the exam. SC/ST/PD candidates have an upper age relaxation of 5 years to appear for JEE Mains.
