BBA Colleges in Odisha
Scholars from all over the world have visited the place to study astronomy, philosophy, science and mathematics in the world's famous and oldest universities of Nalanda, Taxila and Ratnagiri.
Being a renowned name in the world of education, the state of Orissa houses some of the famous management schools of India, which are worth studying in. Besides having national significance, some of them have even got international importance. The Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB), situated in the city of Bhubaneswar is one such premier business institute in Orissa.
As the course of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is the basic course for future managers, the state has got some of the best BBA colleges of India. All of these BBA colleges in Orissa are either affiliated to the famous Utkal University or the Sambalpur University. Most of them are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment or Accreditation Council (NAAC).
BBA in Orissa is a 3 year full time degree course. The total course is again divided into 6 semesters over the period of 3 years, which means 6 months per semester on an average. Candidates can enroll themselves in any of the BBA institutes in Orissa post completion of 10 + 2 with a minimum of 45 % marks. Though for some of the top ranking Orissa BBA colleges, the cut off marks is 50 % or more.
Just scoring 50 % or more in Plus Two level board examination does not ensure one's admission in Orissa BBA. Admission is done mainly on the basis of Entrance Examinations, which is a kind of aptitude test. Even some of the Orissa BBA institutes conduct group discussion (GD) along with personal interview (PI), which mandates the presence of both parents.
Varying from one Orissa BBA institute to another, the fee, on an average, ranges from Rs. 28000 to Rs. 30000 per semester. This does not include hostel charges though. This tuition fee can be paid post completion of each semester or at most 2 semesters.
