Mini Food Recipes For Toddlers

As babies get older, their digestive system becomes more robust, and they can digest food like egg yolks, fish and cottage cheese. Babies may also prefer less greasy food. For slightly coarse-textured food, puree for less time. 

Here are some of the delicious mini food recipes for toddlers:

  • Fast fish

Ingredients:

  • 100g tuna or other cooked fish (bones removed)
  • 1 Zucchini, Sliced and cooked.
  •  ½ potato, diced and cooked

Recipe:

1. Chop the cooked fish into pieces.

2. Place the fish, zucchini and potato in a chopper and grind until it gets smooth.

3. Make a puree of it.

4. Serve chilled or warm.

  • Creamy Chicken and Apricot

Ingredients:

  • Five dried apricots
  • 75g boneless chicken, diced
  • 200mls Chicken stock or water
  • One tablespoon natural yoghurt

Recipe:

  • Place apricots in a chopper and chop them well.
  • Place all the apricots, chicken pieces and stock in a small pan.
  • Now bring to a boil and reduce the heat. Simmer for 10-12 minutes until chicken is cooked.

• Let it get cool.

• Place cooled ingredients into a processing bowl and puree until smooth. Blend in yoghurt.

• Warm before serving

  • Cauliflower Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup cooked noodles
  • Two cauliflower florets(cooked and cooled)
  • 2 Tablespoons grated mild cheese and cottage cheese.

Recipe:

1. place the cooked and cold cauliflower florets and cottage cheese in a chopper, grind them well.

2. Make a puree until the mixture gets smooth.

3. Now, place the chopped ingredients over the cooked noodles.

4. Warm before serving.

  • Mushroom and Chickpeas

Ingredients:

  • Two mushrooms
  • Two tablespoons cooked peas
  • 1/2 stalk celery, Sliced
  • Two tablespoons water

Recipe:

1. place the mushrooms, peas and celery into a processing bowl and roughly chop for 10 seconds.

2. Now cook chopped vegetables in water in a microwave oven or steamer until tender. Let it cool.

3. Again, put the cold vegetables with chickpeas and milk in the processing bowl and puree until smooth.

4. Warm before serving.

 Baby Muesli 

Ingredients:

• one tablespoon rolled oats

• two tablespoons baby rice cereal

• one teaspoon sultanas

•¼ small apple, peeled and sliced

• four tablespoons prepared formula milk

Recipe: 

1. Please oats serial Sultana and apple into a processing bowl and roughly chop for 10 seconds.

2. Continue processing and then add some milk through the feed holes to achieve desired consistency.

3. Place it aside for a while and let it cool.

4. Serve cold

Banana and apple 

Ingredients:

  • ½ Peeled Banana
  • One slice honeydew and rockmelon.

Recipe:

  1. Place all the fruits into a processing bowl and process until it gets smooth.
  2.  Make a puree of it and serve immediately to avoid fruit discolouration.
