Ingredients needed for Chicken Do Pyaza
(serves 4)
Curry cut chicken – 800 gms
Onion – 3 cup (chopped)
Tomato – 1 cup (chopped)
Ginger – 2 inch piece (finely cut)
Garlic – 8 to 10 cloves (chopped)
Dahi – 1 cup
Fresh dhania leaves for garnishing
Dry Masala
Salt to taste
Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Whole Spices
Whole red chilies – 2 to 3
Cinnamon -2 inch piece
Bay leaves – 2
Badi elaichi – 2 to 3
Javitri – 1
Oil – 2 cup
How to make Chicken Do Pyaza
Preparation time: 10 min.
Cooking time: 45 min.
Heat oil in a kadhai and saute the whole spices for 2-3 min.
Add onion and fry till light brown. Add garlic and ginger and fry until the mixture is golden brown.
Add all dry masala and fry for 3-4 min.
Add tomatoes with little water and cook for 4-5 min till they turn soft.
Add curry cut chicken and dahi and cook on low heat for 30 min under a cover with occasional stirring.
Take out in the serving bowl, garnish with dhania leaves.
Serve hot with your choice of Indian bread.
