Recipe for Murgh Malai Tikka

Murgh Malai tikka is an Indian chicken dish made from marinated chicken pieces that are later grilled over charcoal. It includes roasted chicken pieces in the cream marinated with many spices and flavours.

It is composed of the yummiest ingredients such as cashew nuts, coriander, curd and butter. The critical component of this dish is butter and cream because both of them add a creamy look and taste to the plate. Malai tikka is an easy recipe that can be quickly made at home. It is a little bit time consuming, but it’s certainly worth it. 

Let’s make delicious Murgh Malai Tikka:

Ingredients:

  • Chicken Breast – 500g
  • Salt 
  • Pepper
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Cooking oil
  • Butter
  • Cream
  • Lemon (Lime Juice)
  • Curd
  • Cashew
  • Coriander
  • Green chillies
  • Water

Method:

  • Green chutney
  • Take 12 pcs of cashew in a grinder jar
  • Add ½ cup coriander to the jar
  • Add four pcs of green chillies 
  • Add 3 tsp water
  • Grind it well, resulting in a fine chutney

Preparation:

  • Cut the chicken breasts into the shape of cubes.
  • Place the chicken in a bowl with the following ingredients:
  • 1½ tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of freshly made ginger paste
  • 1 tsp of freshly made garlic paste
  • ¾ tsp black pepper
  • ¾ tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1 tsp lime juice         
  • Mix the contents of the bowl well
  • Add 3 tsp of curd to the bowl
  • Add Green chutney to the bowl
  • Mix the contents well

Let the mixture marinate for at least 20 minutes.

Cooking:

  • Heat 2 tbsp cooking oil in a pan
  • Add 1 tbsp butter
  • Let it heat for 1 minute
  • Add the chicken pcs from the mixture to the pan
  • Cook for 8 – 10 minutes on medium heat
  • Grill the pcs for 3 – 4 seconds on direct flame. (Optional)
  • Heat 1 ½ tbsp butter in another pan
  • Add ¼ cup cream into it
  • Let it heat
  • Add the pcs into the pan
  • Cook for about 5 – 8 minutes
  • Add ½ tsp chaat masala
  • Add ¼ tsp pepper
  • Cook for 2 – 3 minutes
  • Serve it hot with some lemon, salad and chapatis
