So going with the trend I made Paneer Matar Ki Chaat today. We have all had this curry but in the form of chaat, it was truly different experience.  (serves 4)

  • Paneer – 200 gms (cut in cubes)
  • Potatoes – 2 (boiled and cut in cubes)
  • Matar – 1/2 cup
  • Green chili – 1 (cut in small pieces)
  • Oil – 2 tsp + for frying
  • Ginger – 1/2 inch piece (grated)
  • Salt to taste
  • Zeera powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Dry mango powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice – 1/2 tsp
  • Green coriander leaves for garnishing

How to make Paneer Matar Ki Chaat

Preparation time: 10 min.

Cooking time: 20 min.

  • Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the paneer cubes until golden brown. Keep aside.
  • Shallow fry the potatoes until golden brown. Keep aside.
  • Boil the green peas with water till they are soft. Keep aside.
  • In a pan take 2 tsp oil, and saute the ginger for a min.
  • Add peas and saute for another min.
  • Add salt, zeera powder, dry mango powder, chaat masala and mix well.
  • Add paneer, green chili, potatoes and mix well.
  • Add lemon juice and garnish with green coriander.
  • Serve hot with green chutney.
