List of countries with no Covid-19 cases

Positive news during Covid-19
Positive news during Covid-19.

It has been two years since the world has been sustaining a pandemic. The coronavirus breakdown halted world economies and daily lives, pushed the people to adapt to the new normal, and in fact, it’s a test of human nature to survive and thrive. However, this pandemic has proved humans break all the existing differences when new trouble threatens the whole human survival. Governments, people, organizations have come together for a better cause showing the level of the virus spread. It has affected almost most countries, but there is a surprising element to knowing that countries have reportedly zero covid cases.

Following are the countries with no COVID-19 cases:

  •  Turkmenistan‌

Being a central Asian country, it has reported no covid case. It’s a known feature of the former Soviet republics that most are autocratic rich today, and the population density isn’t that high. Similarly, the Turkmenistan government imposed strict laws, curfews, and lockdowns not to let the virus enter the country. The air traffic is closed too, and the country also undertook vaccination drives for its population. As a result, most people over 18 years have been vaccinated. In the case of flight returnees, they are supposed to test themselves first before entering the country.

  •  Cook Islands

These islands are sparsely populated, and as usual, countries with less population can undertake quick and efficient vaccination drives. This island nation in the pacific managed to report no covid case ever since its breakout. As tourism constitutes the main feature of their economy, this can also be the medium of virus transmission in the island nation. Therefore, there were measures to stop the air traffic here too.

  •  North Korea

North Korea is known for its past, rulers who ruled the state, and nuclear programs. North Korea is one of the isolated states in the modern world, with barely any trade with foreign countries (except with a few). Its leader Kim Jong Un declared no cases of the virus were found in the country and also, for some time, refused tort food from other countries. There is undoubtedly fear of pressure on the nation’s poor health care system in the wake of the pandemic. Therefore, there are strict measures regarding the movement in and out of the country.

  •  Tokelau

Tokelau is a group of small islands between Hawaii and New Zealand. It is a popular tourist destination. As a result, most of its citizens are vaccinated too.

  •  Tuvalu

Tuvalu is a south pacific nation with less population. It restricted travel across the country, including going abroad. Also, vaccination drives were conducted successfully with the help of the governments of Australia and New Zealand.

Most of the countries in the list include island nations in the pacific. Other nations like Nauru falls on the list too. It is great to hear such positive news from such countries when the world suffers from the COVID-19 pandemic. However, rising sea levels due to global warming and changing weather patterns is one major challenge these countries face today. Therefore, it is essential to acknowledge the problems these nations face.
