About Indian National Congress

The Congress party is one of the major political parties in India and has played a significant role in shaping the country’s political landscape since its inception. The Indian National Congress (INC) was founded in 1885, initially as a platform for the Indian nationalist movement against British colonial rule. It played a crucial role in India’s struggle for independence, with prominent leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel being associated with the party.

The Congress party continues to be an important political entity in India. However, it has faced setbacks in recent national elections, and its influence has diminished in some states. It remains an active participant in Indian politics, advocating for its vision and policies.
