9. Limestone
Limestone is found in India in abundance as almost all states of India produce limestone in some amount. The major share of production of limestone comes from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. As per UNFC, the total limestone resources of all categories are placed at 1,69, 941 million tonnes.
10. Mica
India is the leading producer of sheet mica in the world and accounts for nearly 60 per cent of the mica trade worldwide. The total in situ reserves of the mica is placed at 3,93,855 tonnes. Rajasthan accounts for about 51 per cent of the total mica resources followed by Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand Bihar and Rajasthan that have important mica-bearing pegmatite.
