Who does not know about Bollywood’s King of Romance? Shah Rukh Khan, aka King Khan a trendy Bollywood actor with a huge fan following. He turns 57 today and his fans belong to all age groups. Starting his acting journey with a television series titled ‘Fauji’, Khan made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with the film ‘Deewana’. Until now, he has done more than 80 Bollywood films. His prominent films include Baazigar, Dil Toh Paagal Hai, Dil Wale Dulhniya Le Jayengein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, and Chennai Express.
In his more than two decades-long acting career, he has played versatile characters and bagged several awards. But his most popular genre remains romance, and it is for all the right reasons. Be it playing the carefree college-going boy in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or the passionate dancer in Dil Toh Pagal Hai, and he set high romantic expectations for every 90s kid. A Dharma Production movie that hyped the college life experience of every millennial is Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. It was a story of love and friendship between Rahul, Anjali, and Tina, played by Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukherjee. Khan’s performance as ‘Rahul Khanna’ is still remembered by his fans.

Another movie in which Sha Rukh’s character was named Rahul was Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Baadshah gave Shah Rukh the title of ‘Baadshah of Bollywood’. He played the character of Raj, who was a Mumbai-based private detective. The whole film revolves around his struggle to run his agency, that’s when he gets a high-profile case, and the story continues.
7. Mohabbatein
A violin teacher falls in love with the daughter of his school principal, a romantic man who continues to love her even after her death, which sums up Shah Rukh’s character in this romantic drama. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in prominent roles, the movie was released in 2000. This time again, Khan’s character was named Raj Aryan Malhotra, a music teacher who teaches music and love.
