Know about the Telangana’s Dalit Bandhu Scheme

Dalit Bandhu is the most recent lead program of the Telangana government. It is imagined as a government assistance plot for engaging Dalit families and empowering businesses through an immediate advantage of Rs 10 lakh for every family. Once executed on the ground, this will be the country’s most significant money move plot.

Recently, a Dalit strengthening program on these lines was first reported in the state financial plan. Reports concluded that 11,900 Dalit families, 100 each from 119 Assembly bodies electorate in the state, would be chosen for cash help of Rs 10 lakh each with no bank assurance to begin their organizations. An underlying cost of Rs 1,200 crore was authorized.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) said his administration is prepared to spend Rs 80,000 crore to Rs 1 lakh crore for Dalit Bandhu, promoted as the country’s first scheme if such time to engage Dalits and empower them. Recently, a Dalit strengthening program on these lines was first declared in the state spending plan. On June 25, the Chief Minister held a first all-party meeting with chosen Dalit agents and pioneers to talk about the plan.

During that gathering, it was concluded that 11,900 Dalit families, 100 each from 119 Assembly electorates in the state, would be chosen for cash help of Rs 10 lakh each with next to no bank assurance to begin their organizations. An underlying expense of Rs 1,200 crore was authorized.

A recipient can browse a broad scope of decisions. For example, purchasing a powered tractor, paddy collector, establishing machines, auto streetcars, work vehicles, and so forth for their farms, etc. It sets up a poultry ranch, dairy ranch, oil plant, crushing factory, steel, concrete and blocks business, furniture shops, material retail outlets, cell phone shops or even Tiffen shops and lodgings.

Besides money-related help, the government has moved the public authority to make a corpus called the Dalit Security Fund forever to help the recipient in case of any difficulties. The area authority will oversee this asset, alongside an advisory group of recipients. The recipient of this asset will save a base sum. In addition, the recipient would be given a personality card with an electronic chip, which will help the public authority screen the advancement of the plan.

However, KCR’s announcement of this scheme during the event of by-poll- at the Huzurabad constituency produced adverse reactions from the opposition. They claim this move as a political stunt, attracting people to Huzurabad during elections and leaving them with false promises.

Although reacting to the remarks made by the opposition, the government and related authorities claimed that this scheme should not be limited to one particular region. Instead, the scheme shall run into length and breadth of the state, assuring Dalits with the benefits of this scheme. Although, as the ruling party authorities confirmed, the election result of the by-poll at the Huzurabad constituency will not affect the scheme’s implementation in the future, the opposition remains sceptical.
