Apple Launches iPad 10.2 inch Model

Apple unveiled a bunch of products in their “California Streaming” event on 14th September 2021. While the main focus was on the iPhone 13, Apple Inc. surprised everyone with their new iPads lineup, including the all-new iPad 10.2 inch model and the iPad mini.

The new iPad now comes with the A13 Bionic chipset, which was earlier seen in the iPhone 11 series models launched in 2019. In addition to this, it now has a more powerful Neural Engine that helps in machine learning-based features like Live Text. Apple also claimed that it has all-day battery life. The new will be shipped with iPadOS 15, launched by Apple in June 2021 at the WWDC event.

While the screen size remains the same as the previous generation iPad that is 10.2 inches, the new one now supports the True Tone technology, which adjusts the screen’s colour temperature based on ambient lighting.

Apple has introduced a whole new camera setup in the iPad. The 12MP Ultra Wide front camera brings a huge boost in image quality for better selfies and group shots, as claimed by the company. It supports the Centre Stage technology, which makes video calls more engaging by automatically adjusting the frame to remain in the centre of the frame. In addition, it has an 8MP wide camera that captures some sharp, vivid images and videos. The back camera also supports Augmented reality applications.

Also, the new iPad supports Apple Pencil 1st generation, which comes for 8500 rupees in India which mean users now don’t have to go for the more costly option of Apple Pencil 2nd gen.

Apple did another good job by upbringing the storage capacity of the base model to 64GB as compared to the earlier 32GB models. Therefore, users can also go for the 256GB variant. In addition, the new iPad now comes with a USB-C type port which people have constantly demanded for the past few years. Another happy news for the customers is that a 20W USB – C Power adapter will also come within the box.

In India, the Wi-Fi model starts at Rupees 30900, and the Wi-Fi + Cellular model starts at Rs 42900. Users can also get free engraving on their iPads from the official Apple India website.

Apple also has a Student program for school and university students in which Students can avail additional discounts up to 20% when they buy iPad or Mac for study purposes. The last date to avail of the offer is 27 September 2021.
