Xiaomi, the smartphone brand in India, has returned with another Redmi K series smartphone that makes you ‘Live Extreme’. The first phone in the K series – Redmi K20 and Redmi K 20 Pro, were launched in 2019. After three years, this Chinese smartphone brand launched its successor Redmi K50i on July 20, 2022, in India.

Xiaomi is known for its affordable phones, and the Redmi K50i 5G release is worth the wait for mid-range smartphone buyers. The phone has a premium design and minimal branding at the back. This newly launched phone in the K series comes with a triple rear camera set-up located on the top left corner at the back. Redmi K50i 5G runs on MIUI 13, based on Android 12. It operates on MediaTek Dimensity 8100 5G octa-core processor.

It has several sensors, including the fingerprint sensor, magnetometer, proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and gyroscope. It has a USB Type-C port for charging and a 3.5 mm port for connecting headphones, GPS, Wifi and Bluetooth v 5.30 connectivity. It also supports 5G/4G LTE/3G/GSM in both sims.

This newly launched Redmi K series smartphone weighs only 200 grams and has an 8.87 mm thickness.

Xiaomi has launched this phone in two different variants. One variant is of 6GB Ram and 128GB storage; the other comes with 8GB Ram and 256GB storage. It also has a Ram Booster using which you can boost your ram up to 11GB.

This phone is available for sale only on Xiaomi’s official website. The 6GB/128GB variant is priced at ₹25,999, and the 8GB/256GB variant is priced at ₹28,999.
