Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple, also called Annavaram Temple, is located in Annavaram town in Andhra Pradesh state. It is situated on a hill named Ratnagiri and is devoted to Veera Venkata Satyanarayana, a personification of Lord Vishnu.
Devotees come here to carry out the unique ritual of Satyanarayana Vratam to delight Lord Vishnu. On the regular days, 3,000 and essential days, from 5,000 to 8,000 devotees visit the sacred shrine by climbing 370 steps. Rail and roadways connect the Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy’s Devasthanam in Annavaram.
While constructing the Satyanarayana Swamy Temple in Annavaram, they followed the Dravidian style. At first, when the idol was discovered, a small shed was constructed there in 1891. After that, it was modified into a temple built with the help of villagers and devotees of the nearby villages. Later, it was reconstructed from 1933-34 and 2011-2012.
This temple idol is 13 feet in height in a cylindrical shape, the base represents Lord Brahma, and the top within the upper sanctum represents Lord Vishnu. The middle portion of the idol represents Lord Siva. It is the location wherein Brahma, who is usually denied in temple worship, is combined with the alternative two. The idol of the lord forms a single idol representing the Trimurthis – Brahma, Vishnu, and Siva. The view is a precise attraction.
History
According to the legend Raja, also called Ramarayanam, who was Zamindar then, saw the lord in his dream. He told him that his idol was left on the hill without worship. On Sravanasuddhavidiya in 1891, he discovered it there and worshipped it and established it in the region where Annavaram temple is now located.
The temple was constructed on a hill with sights of the Bay of Bengal, about 11 miles away. Primary hillock rises about 300 ft above sea degree, with 460 properly-laid stone steps to the summit.
The temple was built as a chariot, with four wheels situated at every corner. The entrance of the temple features a present-day structure consisting of a Kalyanamantapa. A Ramalaya is located down the street, after which there are temples to Vana Durga, who is worshipped at that place. To visit the Annavaram temple, timings are from 6 am to 12 pm and from 12:30 pm to 9 pm.

Annavaram temple attracts both Vaishnavites and Saivites as Lord Satyadeva, considered the god of truth, is showering benefits in the form of a Divine Trinity named Hari Hara Hiranya Garbha Thrimurtyatmaka.
The honour of Lord Satyadeva is defined within the Skanda Purana. As all of the Divyakshetrams are surrounded via the holy rivers, Sri Satyanarayana Swamy temple at Annavaram is likewise surrounded by the sacred Pampa river touching the toes of the hill of Ratnagiri, where Lord Satyadeva, along with his consort Sri Anantha Lakshmi is on one side, and the opposite facet is followed via Lord Shiva.
