3. Madikeri
Though it may sound unusual, South India has quite a few hill stations. One of these is Madikeri in Karnataka. Bounded by the Western Ghats, this hill station has many tourist attractions. Sitting upon a hillock, the Raja’s seat is an imposing monument that leaves tourist wonderstruck. Omkareshwara temple, dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva is a perfect worship place for a theist. You will not do the justice to your trip if you won’t visit Raja’s tomb, Sree Kanchi Kamakshi temple, and Linga Rajendra tomb, which are treasure-troves of our rich history and culture.
