India being a country with its dense forests, exotic wildlife, winding rivers and lofty mountains is also famous for its adventure destinations. There are lots of adventure destinations in India where one can fulfill their adventurous desires and get an adrenaline rush.

Adventure Sports in India

India has a wide range of tour packages for adventure sports and activities. Travellers can choose any location that provides them with the thrill they are looking for.

Trekking

The joy of walking on unexplored paths is what trekking is all about. Trekking and hiking can be done in the mountains of Garhwal, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Kumaon and other mountain regions.

White water rafting

It is one of the most thrilling and adventurous water sport. Some of the famous destination for river rafting are:

Skiing

Snow covered mountains in winters opens up lots of skiing spots for tourist's to enjoy. Few famous skiing destinations in India are Manali, Kufri, Narkanda and Chamba in Himachal Pradesh. Auli, Munsiyari and Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand. Other Destinations include Gulmarg and Pahalgam in Jammu & Kashmir, Lachung and Yumthang in Sikkim and Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh.

Scuba Diving

Diving is done mostly in unexplored destinations or with places that have good coral life. There are few island regions and beaches in India that are famous for scuba diving, these are Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep Islands, the Beaches of Goa and Devbagh, Kanwar Beach in Karnataka.

Paragliding

"I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky" and to experience that very feeling there are lots of places for paragliding in India. Few of them being Kullu, Solang, Lahaul, Spiti in Himachal Pradesh and Naukutchiyatal in Nainital. Other places are Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Bikaner in Rajasthan.
