India International Trade Fair Delhi 2016



The India International Trade Fair (IITF) began in 1980 and since then it has evolved as a major event for the business community. It is a leading event organised by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO).

The IITF is held every year at Pragati Maidan, Delhi, from 14-27 November. The IITF is counted among one of the major tourist attractions in the city and lakhs of people visit this fair every year. This annual event acts as a platform for manufacturers, traders, exporters and importers and displays a wide range of products and services including: automobiles, coir products, jute, textiles, garments, household appliances, kitchen appliances, processed food, beverages, body care and healthcare products, furniture, toys, etc.

The IITF theme this year will be "Digital India", which is most relevant and extremely important aim for India today. This year will mark the 36th edition of the IITF and as always will have B2B (Business to business) and B2C (Business to consumer) components. The fair presents an interesting range; right from local artisans to MNCs, covering diverse sectors, primarily in the consumer goods category. The IITF is one of the largest trade fairs in the world, in terms of exhibitors and visitor participation and has evolved as an iconic national event.

The unique aspect of the IITF is the participation of almost all states and union territories of India, apart from domestic and foreign companies. The partner country this year is South Korea and Belarus is the country in focus. The partner states are Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand, while Haryana is the state in focus. The IITF, offers participants from different segments of the industry adequate visibility for their products and services among fair visitors with demarked halls representing different sectors.

Due to demonetization of Rs.500/- and 1,000/-, SBI Help Center has been set up near Hall No.7, 14 and 15, which will be helpful for the small scale enterprises, artisans. Other transactions can be made through credit/debit cards. A total of 18 ATM machines have been set up.

Tickets can be bought from Gate Nos. 1, 2 and 33 metro stations in Delhi including Dilshad Garden, Shahdara, Inderlok, Rithala, Samaypur Badli, Jahangir Puri, Kashmere Gate, New Delhi, Rajiv Chowk, Central Secretariat, Saket, Huda City Centre, Noida City Centre, Botanical Garden, Pragati Maidan, Barakhamba, Karol Bagh, Kirti Nagar-3, Uttam Nagar (East), Dwarka Mor, Dwarka Sec-21, Vaishali, LaxmiNagar, Anand Vihar. Mundka, Peera Garhi, ITO, Mandi House -6, Lajpat Nagar, Govind Puri, Badarpur and Escorts Mujesar, from 9.30 am to 5 pm on all days. Tickets can be booked online through ITPO's website.

General Public November 19 to 27, 2016 (9 days):
  • On weekdays: Rs. 60 for adults; Rs. 40 for children aged between five to twelve years.
  • On weekends and holidays: Rs. 120 for adults; Rs. 60 for children aged five to twelve years.

By Bus
  • DTC bus service is available from Rajghat to Pragati Maidan or from Dayal Singh College to Pragati Maidan.

By Metro
