Ramgarh Lake

Ramgarh Lake is a vast man made lake and a famous picnic spot in Jaipur. Ramgarh Lake is located 25 km. north east of Jaipur. The best time to visit the lake is between October to March. Here you can see the ruins of an old fort and the Jamwa Mata temple. These ruins suggest that the area was governed by the Kachhawahas before they shifted to Amer. This artificial lake was constructed on a high embankment amongst the tree covered hills. The beautiful landscape attracts tourists from far off places, especially during monsoons.

The nearest airport to Ramgarh Lake is the Sanganer Airport about 45 km away. The lake measures nearly 4 kms. in length and 2 kms in width. The other adventures you can indulge in during your visit to Ramgarh Lake are boating from October to June, fishing, trekking in the beautiful mountains, driving to the nearby forest, travel to the carpet village and a marble quarry.

Your visit to Ramgarh Lake is incomplete without going to the Ramgarh Lodge, which has a museum and a library. The Lodge has now been changed into a heritage hotel. It provides an array of facilities like swimming pool, medical facilities, lockers, parking space, business center, conference room and various recreational facilities like billiards, gymnasium, jogging track, etc.
