About Vadodara Education
Earlier called Baroda, this city is located in the state of Gujarat in India. The educational patronage started in the city during the rule of Maharaja Sayajirao. However, this 3rd most populous Gujarat city has further shown a remarkable development in the field of education. Apart from the basic school level education, this city of India has got many institutions, which imparts education in different subjects. This has even made Confederation of Indian Industry (C. I. I.) to decide quite recently to help Vadodara develop as the "Knowledge City".
MBA in Vadodara
Many of the students in this Indian city opt for M. B. A. (Master of Business Administration) as their higher cum professional studies. With the increasing demand of management studies, the city has set up many management institutes within its boundary so that the inhabitants do not require to study outside their homeland. Many of these colleges are affiliated to the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Some of them are even attached to other foreign universities like Gujarat University, Gujarat Technological University, Sumandeep University, University of Alberta School of Business etc. The M. B. A. (Master of Business Administration) colleges of this city have even got affiliation from the A. I. C. T. E. (All India Council for Technical Education) of New Delhi. Some of the best among them are either accredited by U. G. C. (University Grants Commission) or N. A. A. C. (National Assessment and Accreditation Council).
M. B. A. in this city can be done on various fields like finance, healthcare, human resource, marketing and many more. Being a post graduation degree in management studies, the duration of this course is fixed at 2 years by the majority of the colleges. This degree course is a full time course. Some of the management colleges in the Vadodara city offers 3 years' part time M. B. A. course though. Being meant for working students, the classes of these part time programs are often held during the evening time.
A candidate, who wants to get enrolled in any of the M. B. A. colleges of Vadodara, needs to have a Bachelor's Degree in either of the fields of arts, commerce, engineering, science, technology or any discipline from a recognized university. Furthermore, a candidate needs to have passed the examination with at least 50 % marks. For a S. C. (Scheduled Caste) or S. T. (Scheduled Tribe) student, the cut off marks is 45 % though. In addition to this, a student seeking admission in M. B. A. needs to have a valid score of either C. A. T. or G. C. E. T. or M. A. T. or X. A. T. etc.
However, the part time evening M. B. A. course requires some specific criteria as added to the above mentioned criteria. The most important among those special criteria are as follows:
Candidates need to have a minimum 3 years of working experience post completion of their examination of Bachelor's Degree education.
Candidates need to provide a N. O. C. (No Objection Certificate) from his or her employer.
S. C., S. T. and O. B. C. (Other Backward Classes) candidates will be provided with some reservations as per the norms of the Government of Gujarat though.
Candidates fulfilling the above mentioned eligibility criteria needs to apply for this Master Degree course by submitting the application forms as provided by the individual institutions. Then the candidates need to appear for the admission test conducted by most of the M. B. A. institutions. Based on the score of that admission test, one is called to appear for the Group Discussion or the Personal Interview. After combining all the scores, the final list is being prepared that shows the names to the selected candidates.
