Agatti is a part of the Lakshadweep Islands. It is located around 250 kms away from the coast of Kochi. Lagoons are formed around the island, which were formed by coral reefs. Agatti Aerodrome is located at the southern end of the island?. In the entire archipelago, it is the only airstrip. This airport is spread over an area of 45.9 acres. In the peak hours, the terminal building is capable of handling 50 passengers at a time. The flights frequenting this airport include Air India, Jet Airways, SpiceJet, IndiGo, and JetKonnect. Boat and helicopter services are also available here for connecting with the nearby place.

Agatti is a small island in the Lakshadweep archipelago, whose total area is just 1 square mile. According to the 2001 census, there were 5,667 people living on the island. The spoken languages are Malayalam, Mahl and Jeseri.
