Jabalpur Universities



There are two major Jabalpur universities, which provide good-quality education to the students. These universities are important parts of the system of Jabalpur education. The names of these two universities are Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya and Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya is one of the universities in Jabalpur. This educational institute imparts education in various departments related to agricultural studies. Seven colleges of agriculture, one agricultural engineering institute, 16 local research centers, two animal husbandry and veterinary science colleges, 9 zonal research centers and 15 krishi vigyan kendras are affiliated to this university.

This institute has a lot of contribution in the scientific development of the agricultural sector of the state of Madhya Pradesh. It has on offer doctorate, masters and bachelors degree courses in veterinary sciences, agriculture, agricultural engineering and animal husbandry.

The Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya is one of the leading universities of Jabalpur. There are 23 departments in the university. 118 colleges have got the affiliation of this educational institute. The university offers 121 different courses on a variety of subjects.

The units of the university that deserve special mention are the center for Gandhian Study, the department of law, the Tribal Studies department and an institute of management studies.

Both the above universities of Jabalpur offer almost all the necessary facilities to the students who get enrolled for a course. The teachers try to give personalized attention to all the students. The library and other technological facilities of the universities are meant for the convenience of the students.
