Indira Gandhi was the first woman Prime Minister of India and the world’s longest-serving woman Prime Minister. Her courage and boldness made India win over Pakistan in 1971. She made a significant contribution to improving international relations with neighbouring countries. Indira Gandhi was killed by her own bodyguards at her official residence in New Delhi.
