The correct answer is –

Dear Editor,

I am writing this letter to express my concern about the poor reading habits of students today. As a concerned parent, I have observed that many students seem to have lost interest in reading, which is a matter of great concern. In my opinion, there are several reasons for this, including academic pressure, technology and distraction, social media, lack of parental guidance, and limited leisure time.

However, as a responsible parent, I believe that we can take some innovative steps to encourage our children to read. Firstly, we can create a reading-friendly environment at home by setting aside a dedicated space for reading, which can be a cozy nook or a bookshelf in the living room. Secondly, parents can also set an example by reading themselves and encouraging children to read books by reading together. Thirdly, libraries can organize reading events, book clubs, and reading challenges for children to help them develop an interest in books.

I hope that my suggestions will be of use to other parents and educators who are also concerned about the poor reading habits of children today. I urge all stakeholders to work together to create a culture of reading among children.

Yours sincerely, Sushila
