Reliance Power
Indian enterprise Reliance Energy Limited undertakes the planning and implementation of power projects in India and outside. Electricity Corpn. Riyadh, Quaseem, Saudi Arabia in 1984 was an important project of Reliance Power in Quaseem. Working in cooperation with the Electricity Corporation of Riyadh, REL was given the charge of executing a power project the function of which would be to supply electricity to the rural regions of Quaseem in Saudi Arabia.REL had received contracts of power projects from Electricity Corporation of Riyadh prior to this project. Electrification of the rural areas was the focus of Electricity Corporation and also that of Reliance Power. In order to implement the scheme, REL constructed power lines, installed transformers and provided consumer services in the Quaseem region of Saudi Arabia.
The Reliance project in Riyadh, Quaseem featured construction of 33 KV power lines, installation of Distribution Transformers and provision of consumer services. The project was completed in the year 1984 and this became one of the several projects of Reliance in Riyadh. The power project helped Electricity Corporation of Riyadh in providing electricity to the villages and town of the region.
