Two Passenger Trains Derail in Madhya Pradesh, 27 Feared Dead 7:00 AM IST, 5 August, 2015 - At least 27 people died and 40 were injured as two passenger trains derailed within minutes of each other while crossing a bridge in Madhya Pradesh. The derailed trains were Kamayani Express running from Mumbai to Varanasi and Janata Express running from Mumbai to Jabalapur. Landslides Kill 30 in Darjeeling

The landslides triggered by heavy rains claimed 30 lives in Darjeeling district of West Bengal. Major landslides occurred in the district on Tuesday night due to incessant rains. According to media reports, many houses were swept away by the landslides killing many people. Dead bodies have been recovered from areas such as Mirik, Kalimpong, Limbudhura and Sukhiapokhari. Reportedly many roads in the district have also been damaged due to the sudden landslides.

At Least 17 Killed in Tractor-Truck Collision in Etah In a collision between a truck and a tractor, about 17 people including five children have been killed in Etah district of Uttar Pradesh. As per the police officials of the region, the accident took place around 10.45 pm near the Harchandpur village.
