Amusement Parks in Bangalore (Bengaluru)


Bangalore earlier known as 'the garden city' and now 'the silicon valley of India' is famous for its old world charm and bustling cosmopolitan culture. Bangalore is the fastest growing metropolis in the country and the fifth most populous. This charming city now has a lot to offer in the way of a variety of amusement parks which cater to its demographically diverse population and the changing tastes of its people.

Most of these amusement parks are new and are a popular destination for the local population as well as tourists. Some are within the city and others are a short distance away. All these attractions have helped in making Bangalore a preferred residential city for the local people of the state and the young workforce who has come from all parts of the country and is part of the IT industry.

Fun World



This amusement park, spread over 22 acres, is located in Palace Grounds, J C Nagar, in the city. The main attractions here are carousal and rides designed for kids as well as adults, a water world which also offers rides, a 12-lane bowling alley, a food counter, and robotic games for children.

Snow City



Located within the Fun World Complex, this amusement park is a specially created and maintained snow world where visitors can climb mountains, slide down, play with snow balls and enjoy other fun activities. The temperature in the snow city is constant at 5° C to 10° C making it one of the most visited summer destinations in Bangalore.

WonderLa



Located about 30 kilometers from Bangalore on the Bangalore Mysore Road, this theme park is a weekend getaway destination. It offers rides both outside and in water, a musical fountain, and a laser show. The theme based amusement park also has food stalls and a specially designed area for children. It is one of the city's biggest amusement parks.

Innovative Film City



Located at Bidadi Industrial area, some distance away from the city on the Mysore highway, this theme park has attractions such as mock studio and films sets in the Wannado city where children can dress up and enact roles; a museum called Ripley's Believe it or not; a mini Jurassic Park called Dinosaur World; a wax museum; a haunted mansion; and rides and restaurants apart from all this. The place is a popular weekend getaway from Bangalore.

Lumbini Gardens



This water-front boating park is located near the Hebbal Flyover, near Nagavara Lake and close to K R Puram. It offers boat rides, water skiing, an artificial wave pool, and a Spanish bull ride. This leisure park has a variety of entertainment for adults as well as kids. There are special attractions such as a kids train, trampoline bouncy for kids, and a play area specially designed for kids.

Crazy Waters



This theme park set amidst a rocky landscape is located on Bannerghata Road and offers water based slides and rides off fiber tunnels. Neeladri Amusement Park

This amusement park cum water park is located on Hosur Road. There are over 45 fun rides, a video games parlor, an amphitheatre, food stalls and restaurants within.

Bal Bhavan



This amusement park is basically for children. It is located near Cubbon Park in the heart of the city. It offers boating and a toy train ride through the park, and there are also hobby classes held for children. There is a Dolls' museum here which is an added attraction.
