In order to reach Calangute by road, tourists must avail the bus services from Mapusa and Panaji. A well-developed network of roads emerging from the city of Calangute connects it to the capital city of Goa and the other important cities of the state.
Regular bus services are available for the tourists from Calangute to Mapusa, which is situated at a distance of 8 km from the city. Deluxe and economy buses are also available to transport passengers from Calangute to Panaji. The distance from the state capital to the city of Calangute is covered within a period of 45 minutes. The bus termini in Calangute stand opposite the main market. One can avail the buses from the terminus near the temple in the city as well. Prepaid taxi services are also available to commute the passengers from Dabolim airport to Calangute city. Low fare taxis commute tourists from Calangute to Panaji in 30 minutes.
The roadways are a less time consuming and economic for traveling to Calangute.
