Headquartered in New Delhi, Spice Jet Airways was earlier known as Royal Airways, which was a reincarnation of ModiLuft. SpiceJet's air mission is to become India's favorite low-cost airline, providing tickets to customers at the lowest possible prices with the highest consumer value. India's economy is growing by leaps and bounds and air travel is becoming increasingly popular. SpiceJet's vision is to ensure that flying is not only restricted to CEO's and business travelers.

In 2005, Spice Jet placed an order for 10 Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The first of the aircrafts was delivered on February 7, 2006. It offers a dynamic fare structure to the passengers so that they can avail of low fares every time they fly. It has seen a constant increase in the number of passengers and for this airline only the sky seems to be the limit.
