George Town, Chennai

Be prepared for a tough decision as sales assistants spread roll after roll of splendid materials at your feet. Handloom House, at 7 Rattan Bazar in George Town (Phone: 25384840), is the most important saree store here, flaunting a vast collection of exquisite silks and cottons.

George Town is one of the most important areas of Chennai, and serves as a popular shopping destination for tourists and residents alike.
